Ann Toledo
Community Creators Division Supervisor
I’ve been with Nā Leo for more than 25 years.
My favorite part of working at Nā Leo TV is being able to provide families the ability to virtually attend milestone events such as sports championship games, pageants and graduations. Many families, especially our kupuna, may not be able to physically attend these events. Bringing programs to them via our channels and the internet is such a gratifying feeling for me.
With a refreshed mission and vision for Nā Leo, I’m excited to help bring public access television to the next level.
My perfect weekend is being with my family. Rather relaxing at home or having some kind of staycation is my favorite thing to do, as long as I’m with them. But if for whatever I cannot be with my family, I’m happy just being at home with my 4 doggies.
Maintaining good energy and motivation comes from surrounding myself with positivity and being with individuals with a common goal in mind.
I love comfort food and dessert. But my all-time favorite meal is during Thanksgiving!
I’ve had the opportunity to secure a few roles since being here at Nā Leo. From being the Administrative Assistant to the station’s Programmer, to actually not having a specific role and now having the role of Community Creator’s Division Supervisor, I have definitely seen not just my role evolve, but the company as a whole. Technology has changed big time since I’ve started.
I am most proud of my years of service and the fact that the company has trusted and believed in me enough to allow me to head my division.
I’ve competed in the Merrie Monarch Hula Competition more than 3 times in my life.
