Nā Leo TV is proud to support Hawai‘i Island youth in pursuing careers in media through our Ho‘o Lono Scholarship. The word "Ho‘o" means "to make," and "Lono" signifies "a report or news." This scholarship reflects our belief in nurturing island youth who are passionate about storytelling and sharing impactful stories within our communities. It provides vital support to students pursuing broadcast, journalism, digital and creative media, or related fields.

SCHOLARSHIP ELIGIBILITY
The Ho‘o Lono Scholarship is for Hawai‘i Island youth who are:

  • High school students accepted into a two- or four-year college, majoring in media, journalism, digital/creative media, or a related field.

  • Current college students attending a post-secondary institution with a minimum GPA of 3.0 in one of these disciplines.
