CORONAVIRUS UPDATE, 2:00PM

Be reminded that the State’s Proclamation of “Stay at Home” and all incoming travelers to Hawaii State remains in effect.  Please call Civil Defense at 935-0031 for additional information. 

On the coronavirus update, the number of active cases for Hawaii Island, on this day is 4.  Active cases are those confirmed having the virus.  These 4 are quarantined at home and are being monitored by the Department of Health.   At this date for Hawaii Island, no one has infected by the virus had to be hospitalized.    

Your county government continues to aggressively address programs of prevention and provide credible and timely information.   An updated coronavirus flyer is now being circulated.   The task force of cleansing is out seven days a week, disinfecting parks, bus stops, sidewalks, and town centers will continue as long as necessary to combat the spread of the coronavirus.
