Nā Leo TV to Broadcast State Land Board Hearing of Oral Arguments in the TMT Contested Case
Hilo, Hawaiʻi – On Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. the Hawaiʻi State Board of
Land and Natural Resources (BLNR) will hear oral arguments in the Contested Case Hearing for
the Conservation District Use Application for the Thirty Meter Telescope on Mauna Kea. This
will take place in the Willie K. Crown Room at the Grand Naniloa Hotel.
Nā Leo TV will broadcast, LIVE, the entire meeting, beginning at 9:00 a.m. on Spectrum
Channel 53, online at www.naleo.tv, and streaming on Facebook Live at @naleotv. You can find
a rebroadcast of the program the next day, September 21, at 8:30 a.m., on Spectrum Channel 53.
The hearing is open to the public, however, only parties who participated in the contested case
will be allowed to testify and present oral arguments to the BLNR. There are twenty-three parties
to the contested case. Doors to the Willie K. Crown Room will open at 8:30 a.m. for public
entrance. Seating will be on a first-come, first-served basis.
